Ancient light, Spectaculum 79 Ceti

The Old Town Hall is one of the sites of the Rauma Museum in the Unesco World Heritage Site and it is known for its historical lace collection, which contains several hundred different lace samples. For many people today, old lace and the art of bobbin lace making seem to be from another world, even several light years away. Just as the twinkling of the stars we see actually happened a long time ago, Ancient Light, spectaculum 79 Ceti brings to light a lace-making process that took place hundreds of years ago.

The light artwork is annually on display between sunset and sunrise for the three darkest months (December – February).
