Lace is often considered feminine. I wanted to research this field by making a portrait of a person who was considered very masculine. Former Finnish president Urho Kekkonen was such. He dominated Finland for more than 25 years. I asked and got permission to use iconic portrait of him taken by great photographer Jussi Aalto.
